The difference of course is in how much it costs to run the compressor. In
an industrial environment, running anything on 110v costs twice as much to
run as the same piece of equipment on 220v. Even less if it's 220v 3
phase.

Sounds as old as mine. I've had mine since 1987 and it was 20 years old
when I inherited it. I know that I've rebuilt several times the switching
mechanism that regulates the compressor. And parts are still available.
