=> Hi Ken!
=>
     Greetings Uwe. Long time, no see.
=> KN> Museum says it has acquired a Russian Bear, and intends to put it nose
=> KN> to nose with a B-52 in the yet to be constructed Cold War Hangar.
=>
=> Really? That'll be worth for me going back there again!
=> Too bad that it's so far off the beaten track.
=>
     I have had so much pleasure and learned so much from that facility
over the years that at this point, it would not matter where it was
located; I think I would still make my annual pilgrimage there if at all
possible. It is a wonderful facility, to be sure.
=> KN>      As usual, it was indeed wonderful to see my old favourites there;
=> KN> Fitz Fulton's XB-70 will always awe me, and the 2 Blackbirds quietly
=> KN> loom on guard in separate hangars.
=>
=> Did they move the B-70 so that it is not blocked from view anymore by
=> all that other stuff standing and hanging around? When I've been there it
=> was impossible to take a picture of her without having some other aircraft
=> parts in front of the lens.
=>
          The XB-70 currently sits with is tail against the north end of
the Modern Flight hangar, where it has resided for many years now.
Unfortunately, the congestion of other aircraft around her makes it
difficult to get a clear photo of her.
          The only time I could envision you obtaining a clean picture of
her, is during the time in which she sat outside the main entrance to the
Museum.
          I do think they should make an attempt to get both Blackbirds
in the same hangar together. I think they would be most impressive
sitting side by side or even nose to nose.
                                                       Ken
