Maximus and Squish will continue to support *.MSG areas (in fact, I have more confidence in them than Squish bases right now ;). I am currently working on a dialup modem communications driver; it will probably be ready in the next week or two -- no guarantees. Perhaps you would like to be my test monkey? :) The biggest piece of Maximus which is not working correctly under Linux at this point in time is MEX. IIRC, this was not offered at all in Maximus 2, and certainly not under Opus -- so you shouldn't notice any functionality missing. BTW, have you seen WWW IIIs homepage on the web? He's certainly not the geek I always imagined he was. :) If you're used to Opus, you should find yourself right at home under Maximus. I never used 1.73, but I did co-sysop a 1.03b board back in the day... Also, I know how you feel about the internet.. It's a pity my living depends on it... I am certainly looking forward to getting back into fido after missing out for a decade.
