| subject: | Maximus on Linux |
Hi, Okay, I managed to get the maximus source via CVS and the files max-3.03-etc.tar.gz and max-unix.3.03b.tar.gz. I seem to recall that these where required, I assume that I put them in ../src, of my directory where cvs put the files it downloaded, once I got a connect to the cvs server. :-) These files are in ../src/maximus, so the above mentioned files would also untar in the maximus directory if placed in ../src before untarring them. Next, I run on a system with a mono vga screen/monitor, and certain colours do not show up very well on this screen. Is/are there options to compile maximus/squish for a mono vga enviroment, or at least use colours that don't just "disappear" on a mono vga screen? PS. took me three attempts to download the max*tar.gz files, they tended to wait until 67% to 83% download and then just bombeb out. Also, found out if I want to "crash" Internet Expolerer on my system, I must load the CVS instructions page on Sourceforge, and then try and save it, caused the demise of one batch of downloads. :-(( Russell --- GoldED+/LNX 1.1.4.7* Origin: Rusty's BBS - Bloemfontein, Free State, South Africa (5:7105/1) SEEN-BY: 633/267 270 @PATH: 7105/1 7106/22 7102/1 140/1 106/2000 633/267 |
