G'morning Stewart,

Commiserations ... I took 83 this morning - and an explanation
from a bloke in USA saying...

___------------------------------
"You're getting hit with the latest E-Mail virus called "SWEN".
It typically floods your ISP (and your mail box) with hundreds
(yes that's hundreds) of infected E-Mail attachments. Some people
who have servers operating have reported thousands of these
hitting in one day.

Not much you can do except take the usual precautions. If you have a
program like "mailwasher" you can delete them directly at the mail
dispatch of your ISP instead of downloading. Or, your ISP may have a
way to delete them for you.

You can read about "SWEN" at the Symantec and McAfee web sites. Also
download a removal tool in case one of those infected E-Mail attachments
gets into your system."
___------------------------------

Thank god the postmaster on tardis.net is whipping off the
attachments as they hit his fan ... don't think fidonet could
handle the traffic if they were all turned into mime and passed
on.

:-))
