subject: alternative antler bashing

Hello All. ...At first, I was going to use the subject line
"antler bashing for fun and profit," but that would have sent the
wrong message. Still, your average moose does need to keep his
martial spirit alive in case s/he is needed to help defend the herd.
Also, "MooseNet" firmly believes that individuals should settle any
differences without bothering herd representatives. Finally, there
are all those moosettes who are still impressed by a display of
spirited antler-bashing among their suitors. Given all that, antler
bashing is not going away anytime soon. Anyway...

Over the decades, in order to avoid unnecessary bloodshed while
keeping the side-benefits of antler bashing, a few "MooseNet"
guidelines have developed on the choice of weapons and their method
of use. A short list of examples follows, and any additions meeting
proper criteria will be appreciated.

Power staplers at sixty paces, maybe?

Swords at thirty paces.

Word processors with auto-loading thesaurus at twenty paces.

Nerf bats at ten paces.

Rubber bands at five paces.

Rubber chickens at three paces.

Please remember this important note; Judging of each match outcome will in part
be based on style, as well as on accuracy.

Naturally the challenged party gets the choice the weapons, as yet another
example of moose nobility.
