Yes, it is a useful thing, but it really threw me off after I got out
of EMT school, and someone said something about it. I thought they were
joking. But, I didn't know much about the nervous system back then...
You would think, though, that my instructors would have at least
mentioned it. I noticed they didn't mention rectal tone in paramedic
class, either. But, hey! I'm not one to complain. Next thing, we'll be
taught a new diagnostic field procedure! Joy..
