PH> If I add S95=47, that should allow my new 33.6K modem to report the PH> modem to modem, not the modem to computer speed, shouldn't it? Granted that you have a Rockwell chip based modem, using adapted Rockwell software, the least significant bit of S95 when set will enable reporting of modem to modem speed. It is a bit mapped register. The default is 46, i.e. modem to computer. (Which for some strange reason is faster, and makes a better bragging point for the first time user..:-) Add one, and it's 47. Your answer appears to be yes, granted all the above deduction is correct. PH> Thanks for your help, Be a lot more certain if we knew your modem manufacturer and type..:-) Regards, Dave Hatch. --- Msgedsq 3.20* Origin: Ministry Support Group (3:711/808) SEEN-BY: 711/401 410 413 808 809 899 932 934 712/624 714/906 @PATH: 711/808 934 |
