I've never set up Kermit, so I can't help you with the upload * download
BAT files you need to create. But once that's done, Alt-N into
Qinstall, hit the protocol tab, cursor to the first open line in the
10-slot external protocol list, assign a letter that's not used for
another protocol (K might be a good choice), fill in the protocol
description (Kermit) and the names (pathed if they're not in your main
Qmodem directory) of the upload and download BAT files and select the
Y/N choice for download filename prompting. With the cursor on that
line, you can hit F1 for summary help. If Kermit, like Zmodem, sends
the filename along with the file, N is appropriate here; otherwise,
which is more likely, make it Y to prompt for the local filename in
which to store a file being downloaded.

Then ESCape back to the menu bar. While you're there, you can also do
the log setup you asked about a couple of messages earlier. Select the
Options tab, then Toggles and then cursor to "Auto-start log" and use
the Enter key to toggle it on. Again, ESCape back to the menu bar and
select Exit and then Save.

Cheers ...
