I'm looking for a stand-alone Ad-Hoc report generator that would allow users
of my Clipper .DBF files to generate their own reports. The product should
be usable by a computer-savvy office worker: it should not require a
programmer. Client/Server support is not needed. A windows program would be
nice, but not essential.
I've tried Bandit for DOS (quirky, and not very intuitive) and also
Borland's ReportSmith 2.5 for Windows (nice, but it seems to be unstable on
the couple of PC's I've tried it on). I've never used Crystal Reports, but
I've read that it is now so complex that it's really a programmers-only
product.
Anybody got a favourite product they would like to suggest ?
