I understand he did that so that there would not be that awkward
introduction to the next where you feel you are being intorduced to the
whole story.   He did the same with the first.

Do you think that the movies will get more of the younger kids interested
in the whole Tolkenish thing?  BTW without taking into account that I have
read the books, the first movie is just a technical wonder and absolutly
beautiful.  It is well done and the pace keeps things going from one scene
to another.  I love it and really want to see the new one even though it
might not be perfect.
