Legally speaking, almost certainly not, unless you were representing your
self as a BBS vendor (maximus or otherwise) on that website, in which case
you may have a trademark issues.
 
That said, I'm pretty sure I can speak for Scott here -- he won't get upset
as long as you don't purport to be the author of Maximus and do
a bang-up job on the site.
 
Let me know when you've got your content up and stable, I will arrange for
a link to your content off the top SourceForge page. Also, let me know the
URL you want me to link to.
