i've only used the start menu to find what i knew was installed but
couldn't remember where it was... once i found the quicklaunch portion of
the taskbar, i've always enabled it and have always placed shortcuts to my
necessary programs there... this process on everything i've run... w95,
w98, w2k, and vista... i've seen a few of the others but have never run
them on my personal workstations or servers...
