I did and once the 0xff you added is omitted the rest are the original utf8
characters that originated from here.

Now that I've mentioned it, what is the point of the 0xff?  Near as I can tell
all it does is screw up the display of messages you're adding it to.  If you're
not aware of it I find it prefixing "@SUBJECT" which is something I've never
seen before.  Is the '@' character a function of translation of the 0x01
control character found prefixing kludges?

Anyhow I am only claiming the utf8 characters.  I have no idea who is adding
the rest but none of it is mine.
