Hello Wes.

15 Jun 03 10:37, you wrote to me:

Actually, the source for Squish is what I'm mainly interested in. I looked
on Sourceforge.net, and found the squish.c file there, but it seems to have
lots of "include" lines, some of which seem more closely tied to
Maximus; and I was not sure where all of these files are located. If there
is one complete archive of all required source files needed to compile
Squish and make it run under Linux, then that would be what I'm currently
after.

Being quite involved as a mail hub using Squish and Sqafix, I am very
interested in Squish/Unix ATM, because it may provide an easy way to switch
my mail hub over to Linux without changing too much of my setup. Being an
old Maximus user however, if I ever do decide to run my BBS under Linux, I
may be interested in trying out Maximus again; especially if this
development becomes a continuing thing. I am currently using Mystic BBS,
which also has a Linux version, but the Linux version is still somewhat
buggy, and development of Mystic has seemed to slow considerably lately, as
the author seems to have limited time to work on it these days.

That is an afterthought, and it's probably doubtful that I can do it
myself, but I may be able to enlist the help of a couple friends. For the
time being, I want to run Squish/Unix through the paces and see how it
handles whatever I can throw at it. If it's an improvement over the current
Squish/386 version that I'm using, then I may have some reason to attempt
the djgpp port. If I have success with that, then maybe I can try the
Maximus source with djgpp.
