Hi Ken,
I've been watching these last few days and I don't think anybody
ever gave you an answer.
Well QEDIT is a text editor, kind of like a simple word processor and
it is a great to use to reply to mail with your OLMR [Off Line Mail
Reader] like Blue Wave. Among other things it can import text from a
different file into your letter [cut and paste].
EDIT that comes with DOS quite bluntly sucks. Blue Wave comes with
TED [Tiny Editor]. Perhaps that is what you are using, although
there are many others. QEDIT is bigger and has a lot more functions.
You can download a copy from most BBSs and try it out; it's
Shareware - you only pay for it after the trial period and you like
it and want to keep using it.
QEDIT Version 3.0 is widely available. Version #4 has been re-named
SemWare Editor Junior (TSE Jr.) Version 4. It has been out since
Aug. 95 and is becoming wide spread, but if you can't find it don't
worry. The old QEDIT 3 is quite good and if you register, they will
send you TSE Jr 4 anyway.
This echo is a support area for QEDIT users to learn more about how
it works and help each other solve problems. There are both SemWare
employees and experienced users here to answer questions. [I am
neither! Just a happy user who is still learning about all the
different functions.]

P.S. There is a Blue Wave echo too that has a similar purpose. I
started with Blue Wave, then Telix, then Terminate and finally
Ppoint when I became a Point. J
