The thing is that it just seems to be on this one machie. Other IE 
machines don't seem to have the problem. Weird. That's a good

It shouldn't be that way. Why bother having standards? Or a WWW at all? 
Maybe we should just go back to the '60's when no-one could read

Well, the whole idea of HTML standardization is that text-only browsers 
can read the graphical pages. If this turns out to be an IE problem then 
I may just leave it and let nature take its course.
