You've obviously never seen a Tandy coco3 with 512k RAM and os9 then... 
68b09e power!! (FYI: OS9 is a multitasking OS that has it's roots in unix... 
the coco3 is a <2MHz CPU'd system that had the performance "feel" of desqview 
on a 486
with 8 megs of ram.... but in about 1983 or something... long before 
multitasking was a reality on the PC Platform).
