Care to quote something on that? "Before it is put out", I
presume you think whatever is in "ch" will be converted. Since
ch is meant to be a single character, that is not possible, because
otherwise there would be no way of putting out characters. The only
possibility of it not working is if the "ch = i" made it do an
auto-conversion, but that would obviate the need for itoa.

or something which was meant to be the equivalent of you typing
"Alt-E"? Maybe you can go Alt-241 as well, through a similar
