Unfortunately, no. Telix doesn't do this. Rather, you need to call another
modem, drop to command mode by typing +++ rapidly, and checking your link
statistics via an AT command of some sort.
GW> Is it possible to get the modem to tell me how it is performing..
With a modem as new as yours, I imagine it would be. You'd need to check
your modem's manual for the correct command to examine stats. I am not in
any way familiar with your modem's command set.

Most (decent) modems will report the correct connect speed when you
connect; example: CONNECT 33600. Some modems provide more verbose connect
messages, and will detail what kind of error correction and data
compression you're using.
For more detailed link stats, you'll need to drop to command mode and issue
appropriate AT commands.
