Hey Tony!
TL> Both Synchronet and Mystic support QWKE
I note in your case there is a REPLY kludge as well as longer than 25
characters allowed in the subject line. In the other two cases no such luck
which makes it difficult to come up with a suitable generic fix. Note that
this reply's subject line is 70 characters which means that if you reply to it
should result in trucation simply by adding on the objectionable "Re: " part.
However in one case there is no "Re: " part tacked on but still the EXTREMELY
objectionable and lame 25 character truncation so a generic fix based on a
prefixed "Re: " is no longer a possiblility.
I am finding this to be a very, very sad predicament although I am happy I
never resorted to needing QWK offlining myself. I breifly used a Linux
Multimail version with Bluewave at one time. That seemed okay. However this
WeBeBashing stuff I find most appealing simply because it puts me in the
driver's seat as to what support gets built into it.
Just like mom used to do. :-)
Life is good,
Maurice
... Don't cry for me I have vi.
