subject: Re: Kyosho Optima Mid 4WD 4 Sale

Well, I'd sell it for $300 shipped and include my prized ProTec 706 Peak
Charger, or $250 without the charger (best charger - can peak one pack
while trickeling another, has DC input with battery plugs, I'll throw in
y adapter and extra battery adaptors which I built to peak 8 AA's in a
1/2 hour too if you get the charger. The car has the following:
Kyosho Optima Mid 4WD RC Car w/
- original car w/many extra parts bought and from another optima mid
- extra wheels, tires, and decals (tires change quick for onroad use)
- bud's racing product's bi-level wing
- extra shocks and shock oil (kyosho gold shocks - about $25 a set)
- tony neisinger modified motor
- includes 2 7-cell duratrax 1500scr battery packs
- added ball links instead of losing screws & makes it easier to clean
- added motor cover from a usa-1 instead of rubber/foam coating which
lets the motor cool off better while still keeping out the dirt and
is also clear to check for wiring problems/shorts.
- extra body paint
- novak 610 - reversable speed controller
- kyosho pulsar pro 2000 radio w/ 2 servos (one has wire clipped)
- added velcro to easily and quickly clean parts and replace batteries
- also added a ESC mount to mount esc easier/better on car
This car is really hopped up and I have ran it up to speeds of around
30MPH (chase cars down the road). This car has one of the best
suspension systems and hardly ever bottoms out off jumps!
Original costs put into it:
- original car $250
- batteries (2) $50
- radio $60
- speed controller $90
- ball links $5
- extra wing $12
- extra tires/wheels $10
- paint $5
- velcro $2
- extra shocks/oil $30
- tony neisenger motor $30
- motor cover $3
- extra optima parts $?
- extra decals $5
TOTAL $502+
For less than half the price of a new one & all assembled + all the
extra parts you'll ever need.
I also just took the whole car apart last month and re-oiled everything,
replaced a stripped gear (from holding throttle down while landing from
jumps). The nice thing about this car is that you already have all the
parts you'll need to have & won't need to spend/wait for more. I had to
resolder new plugs onto a battery pack/esc because I melted the plugs
one time due to running 6 packs one after another. I have also made
other minor adjustments to the controller (soldered a 9V battery plug
into it's connectors because they glitched a lot - run's better even).
I do admit that the radio is pretty crappy though and the range is only
about 100-150 feet. Anyways, this is a very long response. Please let
me know if you're still interested though.
