Should be no difference so long as your amp is designed to operate at the 
load (ohms) that you are running it at. My pro sound system that i lease out 
is designed to operate at either 8, 4, or 2 ohms, and i can not tell any 
difference in sound quality if i am running it at either of those loads. In 
small venues where i don't need as many speakers, i run ir at either 8, or 4 
ohms, and in larger ones where i use all of my speakers, i run it at 2 ohms 
with good results either way...
