Ron -

There are at least two versions of the Service Manual.   The original is 
dated 1978, and the second version is dated 1980.  The second version 
has the Version 2 of the 2nd IF/Audio board with the MC1496 product 
detector and a few minor changes.  The original has Version 2 of the 
Noise Blanker and Version 2 of the PreDriver board.

So unless you have a Version 2 2nd IF/Audio board (around s/n 6500 (?)) 
or so, either edition will work.
