Could very well be.  However given the changes in digital communications
since then I question the value of any help that might be.  Not many still
using dialup modems around this neck of the woods and I am doubtful that is
much different anywhere else.

What might be still significant is wireless since I've noticed that text
messaging with handhelds isn't all that much different than what used to go
on in the heydays of Fido messaging except they seem to have dropped the
need for the 16 bit DOS-think stuff that never really was anything of
significance with most serial based programming, such as dialup modems for
example.  Nobody at any time has successfully explained that one to me, not
even when it was 'poplular'.  Personally I always and still do think it was
a scam.

Oh well, guess it doesn't really matter ... or does it?

Used to be.  Other than myself I don't notice that much anymore.  All the
ones I used to call 'goto people' have long since gone or have gotten
extremely quiet for whatever reason.

I am not sure now.  That was too long ago.  However Glenlivet was definetly
one of the firsts if not actually the first.  I still like it and wouldn't
complain if it were the only.  However there are some VERY good ones
otherwise and also am not inclined to complain about that.

Never been but have had Macallan via an old friend back in the "good
ol' days" in a land far away who had it on his shopping list.  I like
when that happens.
