Get the WORD DEVELOPER's KIT.  There are several ways to do it:
 - Open a blank document and read-write the data there.
 - Write a WLL (word-DLL) and use it to save a common memory area.
 - Use DDE to copy data across.  This would require two copies of
   word (don't know if this is ok for you, but is an alternative)
   running - one is the server, the other the client.
