By the time DOS is set to die, I'll probably be too old to care... if
I'm still alive, even... ;) We aren't into upgrading for the sake of
upgrading... if it still works, why mess with it... ;) I thought we
might have hit a snag when zmodem didn't work for telnet uploads in DOS,
but Richard worked that one out for me. I'm rather rodent-unfriendly
(not the cute furry ones, but the computer type ) as well, and don't
have much reason to need to use graphics, so text-based mostly works
just fine. I've got some things on the computer to view jpg, gif, even
pdf files, so I can even look at the pretty pictures on websites if I'm
so inclined after all... What more do I need...?

MK> Too many hoops to jump through, especially given the health of BBSing
The death of BBSing has been touted for years, but it's still chugging
along... and I've noticed some oldtimers returning, and some new names
(maybe oldtimers I didn't know from before, or maybe truly new) showing
up places I hang out... I'm sure some day the ride will end... but it
doesn't seem to be soon to me... :)
MK> in general, nevermind zmodem. Stinkin' zmodem!
MK> Hm. Why am I doing any of this? I seem to have forgotten.
Because it's there? (she asks, innocently... )
