Because USR have frequently said so themselves!

But only insofar as Rockwell's V.FC being supported by the Courier. Even
Rockwell's Class 2 fax isn't currently supported by USR.

Rockwell and Lucent (sp?) Technologies will apparently be offering 56k
protocols which are purportedly 100% compatible with each other, but (as
usual), USR have rather stupidly decided to go it alone with x2, which is
compatible with absolutely nothing else whatsoever.

You'd think that both Rockwell and USR might have learned their lessons
from the V.FC, HST, and Class 2 debacles, but that isn't the case at all.
