I didn't really see it that way when I watched it, but I can see how it can
be viewed that way in hindsight.  It was more just depressing to me, kind
of like the old saying "life sucks, then you die," type thing.

Actually, with what the India people said yesterday, I'm not so sure
Microsoft doesn't *have* to put out a version for Linux, and they've got to
make it cheaper and without this activation crap. (and contrary to what
Paul says, it wont have to be GPL'd )

I think he meant that he was going to get more people to upgrade with the
next version. (fat chance now that they have locked out those people not
running on at least W2K Sp3!)

No, but that doesn't mean they shouldn't.

Anyway, I read another scary thing last night -- it kind of gives a view
what'll happen to you if you do unapproved things with your computer once
Palladium is out there...
