I have a Gateway ALR7200 that I am trying to install Netware 4.1 on. The
7200 uses onboard SCSI controllers with the AIC78U2.HAM netware driver.
There are problems with NetWare 4.1 and the new controllers. To overcome
that, I had to abort the install and update the OS with patch level 8.
SERVER.EXE and LOADER.EXE were updated.
Now that I can access the disks I tried to rerun INSTALL.NLM. The disks
are partitioned and the volumes created. But here-in lies the problem,
when SYS volume is mounted I lose the DOS partition which contains
INSTALL.NLM and several other NLM's. I can't load any files that reside
in C:\NWSERVER. Even if I dismount the SYS volume I still can't see the
local dos partition. The SYS volume and the DOS partition are on the
same disk.
Any Ideas?
