I only wish he'd had a plan for fixing it before he wrecked it...

and if the cure is to cut the flow of incoming money and increase the amount
of debt we're carrying, then I believe I'll start explaining that to the ppl
I owe money to. I'll cut my income, increase my spending/debts, and I will
be rich in no time at all! Is anyone else going "huh?" with me?

but... all that aside -- my prayers will be with you, and everyone else in
uniform. Regardless of what our "Commander in Chief" is
doing/will do, I do
support those with their lives on the line who are supposed to carry it out.
But forgive me if I find it a tremendously sad thing that we'll be pulling
 the trigger first.

I think it's the public's reluctance to commit an international felony that
is slowing Dubya down. The same spending priorities are in place as his
father and Ronald had, those of paying the military-industrial complex
immense amounts of money while ignoring social programs. I don't know if the
rest of you have a Tim Eyman in your locale, but this guy has created tax
initiatives that have hurt the public budget. Libraries are cutting hours
and services. The bus pass, while still cheaper than insurance on a car, is
slowly creeping up in price. All so environmentally polluting cars can have
lower tabs. It doesn't help that this man lives so far out in the burbs that
bus service is limited for him anyway. lol. I think he's in league with
Dubya.

But seriously, there's a anti-yuppie contingent in Seattle and it's environs.
It's just that Boeing pulling out hurt our economy strongly. I don't know
how, but people are still buying books for their kids, so I still have a job.
Now, it's a holiday for my job, and the library isn't open. I have to hit a
coffee shop to do some of my work.

Rant over. Guess I still have a pulse.

MockYeti, paying off my debt, BardMock
