Bob, BS> This totally sounds like a prison, me, I would NEVER consider living BS> under those conditions. While in some respects it may seem like it, some days, it's very difficult for me to get around the apartment...let alone elsewhere. Some days, it's very difficult to get in and out of my car. Society is too litigious...they'll sue at the drop of a hat. If they sued for public flatulence, everyone would be under the jail. BS> I do know that my DV4Mini transmits with 1.2 milliwatts, and my Icom BS> ID-31 transmits with less than one watt. That's considerably less than BS> a typical wi-fi router radiates. Unfortunately, there is no D-Star Repeater in central Arkansas that is on the Gateway. The one they have is available to folks with D-Star radios only. With all the trees around me, I can't even hit a wide area coverage analog repeater on Shinall Mountain, west of Little Rock. Plus, with not even getting $1100 a month in disability, I can't afford to get a D-Star HT, a DV4Mini, a Raspberry Pi, etc. I joke that "I don't know much about a Raspberry Pi, but a pineapple upside down cheesecake sounds awfully good". (hi hi) Daryl, WX1DER ... Does "MNP-5" mean "Modem needs a 5 topping pizza"?? === MultiMail/Win32 v0.50 --- SBBSecho 3.00-Win32* Origin: The Thunderbolt BBS - wx1der.dyndns.org (1:19/33) SEEN-BY: 14/5 19/33 75 34/999 90/1 116/18 123/500 128/187 140/1 218/700 222/2 SEEN-BY: 230/150 240/1120 249/303 250/1 261/38 100 266/404 267/155 280/1027 SEEN-BY: 282/1056 292/907 908 320/119 219 340/400 393/68 396/45 633/0 267 280 SEEN-BY: 633/281 406 410 640/384 712/620 848 770/1 801/161 189 2320/105 @PATH: 19/33 261/38 712/848 633/280 267 |
