I found that the ellipsis automatically inserted into Word 2002 are a pain,=
 so I
simply turned that off and type three periods.  When posting something here
from Word, I save it as a text file and select the box "allow chracter
subs= titutions."
That should work for ellipsis, since it does work for long dashes and curly
quotation marks.  I copy from the text file into the e-mail program.
