 HA... after you've been cruising the echos for a while you'll notice
 that long ongoing conversations (threads) take on a life of their own
 and stray far from the original 'subject'.  Every now and then some
 one will change the subject line before hitting 'reply'.

 Actually I didn't pay _any_ attention to the subject line until I
 read that...I generally read everything addressed to ALL or search
 for specific names in the FROM or TO lines.
 If you are downloading and reading off line you might find it helpful
 to narrow your reading (500 msgs?? phew) by doing a keyword search.
 Most software has that as an option .. that way you skip all the
 stuff you are not interested in (at the moment) and zero in on what
 does interest you.
