From: "Bob May" To: "atmlist" Reply-To: "Bob May" When you get to the point where you don't have any deep pits in the glass and you are at the finest grit that you have (usually something in the 12-5 micron range) you can start the polishing. When the pits are polished out of the glass, you can then start inspecting the mirror for surface shape as well as other things. The whole process isn't hard to do which is why so many people have so much trouble with it - it just can't be that simple!
