Hey mark!
ml> standard FTN binary MSG format or something else?
Absolutely zero binary. It does use null delimeters though, currently five
-> DateTime\0, To\0, From\0, subject\0 and msg_body\0. I was thinking
of splitting the tagline, tearline and Origin off into a sixth field and
calling that a footer\0. Also no need for PATH, SEEN-BY, etc. since all
this is local until the node ships it upstream and then and *only* then
does the annoying, unneeded, binary crap leakage into the mix.
:::shudder:::
Also all that gets stripped off and sent to the bitbucket when unpacking.
Along with most of the hidden info in the msg_body\0 it is complete, utter
garbage. No?
Way back in the old days one could find themselves in the woodshed for bad
behavior such as putting binary data into headers ... not to mention
compression. I miss those days.
Life is good,
Maurice
... Don't cry for me I have vi.
