subject: LOCKUP PROBLEM

following up a message from Larry Taylor to Patrick Moore:
LT> It seems to happen when a caller drops carrier while connected to
LT> the BBS. The modem stays off-hook and the display cycles as if a
LT> 300 baud caller was online, with the display showing a "3" for
LT> connect speed. The modems will stay like this and will not reset
LT> until I manually turn them off and then back on. Any ideas as to
LT> what could be causing this? The setup string I used was
 LT> AT&F2W1S11=50L0M0&W&W1.
Samething here, here my init string:
ATH0&F2W2S11=55S95=2M0#CID=1S192=32S194=138+MS=V34,1,1200,33600
All that it's strore in NVRAM, and I only use ATZ... I put the +MS=... to
remove the 300 bauds connection, but still the same... But with the -17 rom
code, it happen less often...
   I'm using a SupraFaxModem 288 (can we call it a 336 now! If so, I need a
sticker to put on it!!) external...
   Take care...
Eric...
