There is a perl script out there (it may even be in one of binkd's source
subdirectories) that Stas Degteff wrote. It's a small FREQ processor for use
with binkd if you're interested in going with something less extensive.

For a working HPT and HTICK, you would need the list I gave you in a previous
message:

huskybse
fidoconf
smapi
areafix
hpt
htick

And that's it. All of them use one config file (huskymak.cfg), then you just
have to traverse into each directory and run make and make install. There is a
README of some sort in each directory that gives compiling instructions, and
it's all quite easy to accomplish.
