Don't do that! Keep it viable.

PC> So I thought I would slide everything into
 PC> the new system.

Other than the programs/data you want, most won't work in your
new system.

DC> Is your XP system a desktop or laptop?
 PC> Desktop. made by MEDION.

Then, you could temporarily move over the WIN95 drive into
the new system...

DC> Does your XP have a floppy drive?
 PC> Yes.

As Bwave isn't that large, you should be able to use floppies
for transfer instead.

DC> Can you personally add a hard drive or floppy drive to a computer?

PC> Yes...I have added modems and video cards to CPUS.

See above. The 1.44 should be ok unless you have collected a
lot of files.

DC> Are you comfortable with DOS command line Commands?

PC> Yeah...I have had to experiment with doorways to take dialup
PC> users via doors menu to direct connect with my radio transmitter
PC> for packet. It was fun doing that.

I do most of my messing with DOS!

DC> How about WIN copy commands?

PC> I have copied some files with Windows. I like it better that
PC> way then the DOS way. Lost a few with dos.. :)

Always use the copy command and then delete after confirmation!

PC> Okay..I will try that method now....thanks Dan

PC> will get back to you....

BTW, if you opt on the HD swap, do remember to change the Master/Slave
jumpers. And, do not change the storage type on the drive! If
you do, you may not be able to access it in the WIN95 system.
