| subject: | BGFax + Courier + FD |
I'm positive this question has been asked plenty of times already, but I am
going to ask it anyway. Funny how the answers to common questions are never
important until one finds themselves needing the same information ...
I've decided that I wish to set up BGFax 1.60 in conjunction with FrontDoor
2.20c.mL and my USR Courier V.Everything. In short, I'm basically after the
correct fax strings to use in FrontDoor for said modem. I have read through
BGFax's manuals WRT USR modems and FD, and have configured FD as such:
Connect fax +FCO
Escape code +++
Return on-line ATO|
On-hook ATH0|
Off-hook ATM0H1|
Dial AT
ÃÄPrefix +FCLASS=0DT
ÀÄSuffix |
Delay 2
Init-1 ATZ|
Init-2 AT+FCLASS=2.0|
Init-3 AT+FLI="+61-2-9579-6564"|
Down ATM0H1|
Attention AT|
Manual answer Yes
Force answer AT+FCLASS=2.0|~AT+FAA=1;+FNR=1,1,1;A|
Answer delay 2
Enable LDFRS No
I have also made sure that my Courier itself is configured according to the
documentation. There are plenty of documents floating around detailing what
needs to be done to configure the hardware and software combo I am running.
However, most of these are American, and I'm uncertain as to whether or not
Austel Couriers should be configured in the same manner as the US models.
Any help on this matter would be appreciated. I haven't bothered setting up
BGFax itself. Right now I'm more interested in making sure that I have done
whatever is neccessary on the fax/modem/FD side of the equation.
