Peter, from my perspective you are off on a tangent from what I'm getting
at.  I believe I understand how squish is working.  It's just that squish
isn't working as it was orrignally claimed to be a drop in replacement for
the old CONFMAIL, (similar to OMMM)....  When I transfered from the older
program to squish, I hit this "bug" / "feature"..... 
And all the documentation claimed things should just work.....  Took a
while before I figured out what was going on.....  

Any way....  Thanks for the thoughts, but that's not the angle I was going after.
