I am figuring an 8" f6. =20

My current dilemma concerns zone 1. When I started out my zone 5 was = off
the charts, .200", long. I have brought that back and all the zones =
are much closer together, close to goal -- except for zone one. Now = it
comes up way too short, .100" more or less, on the Foucault tester. =
And it is hard to read even at that because it does not null-out in a =
typical manner. I am using a Couder mask with the center blocked so = zone
one shows up on both sides rather than as one big hole in the mask. =
But when I try to null out the zone the shadow enters both sides of the =
mask from the left rather than from the outer circumference in. =20

There is an obvious problem with the center of the mirror. Have I given =
enough information that someone can tell me what I should do about it. =
Is it too shallow?

I'll send more information, numbers, if someone wants them.

Problem # 2:
I put a scratch in my mirror on the last wet. I know where it came from =
so I am clean to proceed. Can such a thing be polished out? It's about =
1' long in zone 3.

Thank you all.
