Is that still true for e.g., ProDOS 8 v1.9 and later, or GS/OS? (One of my tests is running The DOS Escape from GS/OS, and returning to the Finder.) Also, this would have other uses: you can still access the MLI because the system page is intact. Not really valuable, but it could have its uses. Perhaps what I'll try to do is replace the INIT command altogether. What I *really* want to do is rewrite the File Manager to just issue MLI calls. With this, stuff could get pretty low-level into DOS 3.3 and still work on ProDOS.
