Having a little trouble with my Reveal SC400 Rev.3 I finally found a CD-ROM
driver (Ironically on IBM's board and not Reveals) but on Sony's proprietary
controler for these CD-ROM's the IRQ is optional. This driver reccomends IRQ
or it uses software polling and my MMPM/2 video sucks because it's all jerky
and stuff). At least I was able to install off the CD.
My SC400 Rev.3, according to Reveal's BBS, is supported in Warp under SOUND
GALAXY 16 NOVA or something to that effect. I am using OS/2 2.1 for windows
3.1. What really sucks is that the Windows 3.1 drivers won't work in
WIN-OS/2. The sound effect won't end; it keeps repeating the last chunk of it
until you exit it! This is no surprise as I hear that a lot of drivers won't
work right in WIN-OS/2.
I'd like to just get Os/2 warp connect, but I have not seen it in any
magazines! Can you tell me where and how much I can get it and will an 8 meg
486DX2/66 work okay with it? I might just get a better multimedia kit. Can
you reccomend one that works good in OS/2?
Any response would be appreciated!
