VH>JS>yard range proved to be extremely easy and fun.
VH>This is a worthwhile improvement -- using a set screw, either through
VH>the trigger blade (as in some M1911A1 accuracy jobs) or through the
VH>back of the of the trigger guard is a good idea.
VH>People tend to put a lot of money into the 10/22 (Why? Because they
VH>CAN! :-)) I'd put my money into a good trigger job, which, as you
VH>point out, is cheap. You can do it yourself, for just the cost of
VH>springs and a little polishing.
I let a smith do it, and despite my request not to, he dropped the
trigger down to about 2#. I've thanked him ever since. :-)
Everything else I've done myself.
VH>I'd also get a good scope.
I have a bushnell sportview on it now. It's coming off, it just does not
hold up like it should. I thinking of a Simmons next.
VH>Then I'd start shooting -- only when I was convinced I could shoot
VH>better than the rifle would I start rebarelling.
Yes, I've got several bricks of Super-x waiting to be converted into
brass only. :-)
