Well lets see here. Since only 15 people a year are killed by rattle snakes
then rattle snakes must be really, really safe. Right? Actually I don't know
how many people die each year from snakes, but I think even you are about
ready to agree to the idea that anything that kills people is not inherently
safe. Cars are not safe, pools are not safe, guns are not safe, However,
here
are many safety standards for the manufacture of Cars, and although I am not
familar with the pool industry I bet there is at least some industry self-
regulation for safety standards in manufacturing , But there are no safety
standards for the manufacture of guns. Why not?
<< So, would you support registration of and licensing for swimming pools?
How about a waiting period? >>
If that's what it took to save the lives of 290 children each year why would
you be against it?
