And others are wrong.  Others only matter when they are right ... and/or are
paying the bills.  In this case others can keep their sameness given that it
isn't ... and they aren't paying the bills.

Correct.  In this case I do the right thing which happens to be the same as the
software I am deploying to make this all work.  Given that I am having the
least issues with whatever charset - real ones not bogus made up aliases for
charsets - then I am WAY ahead of everyone else including some who are also
getting it right but are too chickenshit to take on the others.  :::evil

I know for a fact that I am better at both.  It is the others, and those who
sink to that extremely low level, that are creating and propagating the mess. 
It wouldn't exist without them.  In fact ignoring all the mess is proof that
real standards actually work when properly deployed especially when dealing
with older stuff.

The others have diddly-squat.
