Thanks. Sort of like the Civil Defense volunteers that they had (and I was one
of) before and after I was in the Navy. Back when according to Tail-gunner Joe
there was a Commie in every pot and two under every bed. And when we regularly
did the "duck & cover" drills in the schools. I was one of
the operators of the
commo net using 2 metre Gosset voice rigs.

I let my licence lapse some years ago. Used to work 80 metres and some 40
metres as W9CHL ... back in the day. My antenna was half-wave for 80 and full
wave for 40 metres.

Hmmmmm ... I may look into building something that will broadcast to the
amplifiers in the rolling speaker lab ... on a 1 kc tone at about a full KW or
more. That ought to pierce their eardrums and distort the hell out of their
"music".
