Not so. The "rabbit ears" won't work very well because they are a form of
simple dipole antenna designed for VHF frequencies. However the "bullseye"
antenna or the wire circle antenna supplied with many NTSC tuner TV sets will
receive the now mandated ATSC (digital) signals just fine.

An antenna cares not one whit how the information on the signal is encoded -
its job is to pick up the signal from the aether and send it down the wire to
the tuner - which *does* care how the signal is encoded.

I use a twin bay Winegard HD-8800 ... which I bought originally as a KU-8800.
The HD designation is merely a marketroid term designed to
"enhance" sales. I
put that bad boy 40+ feet into the air and pick up my favourite PBS stations
which are 75 and 85 miles from my location. This antenna also has the advantage
that it is light enough to use a rotor/positioner made with the less expensive
plastic/nylon gears as opposed to the more (50% - 75%) costly all metal-geared
heavy duty rotors.

Fie on $cumCa$t. I will not enrichen them one jot or tittle if I can help it.

ENJOY!!!
