That is exactly what the mechanic said when I told him about the leak
before I had the engine swap.  I was sort of hoping that when he
re-installed the compressor after the swap that it would magically fix the
slow leak.  No such luck.. 

He did say if it only leaks one can per season, it isn't worth the cost of
a new compressor (if that is where it was leaking).

Yes, I have been using stuff that includes leak seal and compressor oil in
it. The Artic Freeze brand.  I just put a 19oz can in there and it does
blow like the artic in there now!  :)
